Open City is a conference, where architecture, construction and development experts, officials, representatives of universities and public organizations meet each other to discuss education in urban planning and architecture field.
For two years Russian and foreign specialists have the opportunity to meet and participate in sessions dedicated to work in the modern world and relevant educational models. The business program includes sessions, round tables, presentations and workshops involving all participants in urban planning
The concept of the event offers a direct dialogue between the participants. The exposition program is aimed at revealing the most relevant topics and presenting the newest educational programs.
For the conference in 2016, the study "Comparative analysis of educational programs in the field of urban planning and architecture (Moscow)", was prepared by the company Citymakers, this study gave possibility to obtain quantitative indicators.
The 2017 study, "Professional growth in urban planning and architecture: traditional models and alternative practices," is aimed at studying various career paths, motivation to continue education or create their own office in domestic practice and abroad.
"Open city" is a discussion of the most pressing issues of the education system in the field of urban planning and architecture.
